Bure Valley
Experience a blast from the past as you kick back and relax on an old steam or diesel locomotive whilst taking in the ever changing North Norfolk landscape. There are two famous railways in North Norfolk, the Bure Valley Railway and the Poppy Line.
Bure Valley Railway is Norfolk's longest fifteen inch gauge line, and runs between the ancient market town of Aylsham and Wroxham, the 'Capital of the Norfolk Broads'. The 18 mile round trip runs through the picturesque Bure valley countryside, following the winding river through meadowland and ancient pasture, stopping occasionally at small Norfolk country villages.
Bure Valley also hosts a range of events through out the year including the well known Model Railway Exhibition.
Make more of your trip to the North Norfolk Railways and stay at the luxurious Sea Marge Hotel or spectatular The Dales Country House Hotel. A stay at these gorgeous period houses will be unforgettable.
