Poppy Line
The Poppy Line is a 10.5 mile round trip by steam train through Sheringham and Holt; a stunning area of North Norfolk renowned for its outstanding natural beauty. In spring and early summer there are primroses, bluebells and the yellow gorse. Later in the year there are beautiful poppies, hence its name Poppy Line.
But the North Norfolk Railway is much more than a train ride; in Sheringham there is a museum of the railway's history, a museum signal box and a children's activity carriage, souvenir shop and a buffet, as well as an attractive booking hall and a ladies' waiting room. So why not have a cup of tea and watch the trains pass you by and feel transported to the past in this quaint station.
