In line with Government guidelines Mackenzie Hotels we are accepting bookings online or telephone.  We want to reassure all guests that we have  measures in place, listed below, for all our loyal customers, local community, visitors, and staff to stay safe at this challenging time.

If you would like to make a future booking, please be rest assured that we have updated our cancellation policy on all our rates to allow you to book with ease, with no deposit required and you can cancel or amend up to 24hrs prior to arrival with no charge.   This does exclude Christmas and New Year breaks.

This closure has obviously affected all our reservations and events that were made for dates in March, April, May and the immediate future.  For all non-refundable deposits paid, and anyone who paid in advance, we are happy to transfer all monies paid towards a future booking (within 12 months of the original booking date).  We will, of course, offer the best rate available at that time.   If you have any queries please email the relevant Hotel and we will be able to assist in rearranging your booking. Please click here for our full up to date Terms and Conditions of booking.

Mackenzie Hotels has always upheld the most exacting levels of housekeeping across all our properties.  We have introduced a new awareness and cleaning training programme to every team member at each hotel.  In the face of this challenge, we have introduced more frequent cleaning intervals, reviewed all cleaning products for efficiency against Coronavirus and ensured that all cleaning processes take into consideration chemical contact times to ensure effective sanitisation.  We will ensure that any changes and official guidance on the management of the COVID-19 public health risk are communicated immediately to our teams.  We will be removing all non-essential items out of bedrooms.   All our bedrooms will be sanitised with the latest anti-viral technology before every check in. Social distancing measures will be in place in all areas of the Hotels.

We hope to have a contactless check-in available at all Hotels with safe guard screening in place, and will have sanitising stations in place around the Hotels.

We offer inside, outside and in room dining options. Your household will be able to all dine together and if you wish you may dine with one other household with 1 metre spacing between each household either inside or outside.  2 persons may dine together if they are from the same or 2 different households. Groups of 3 to 6 persons may only dine outside under social distance measures of 1 metre apart. Groups of more than 6 from different households will not be able to sit together but may then form another group on another table.

All diners will be allocated a table on arrival where they will receive table service for food and drinks.   All our table service will be Covid secure.

We have introduced in all 3 Hotels garden tents that you can dine or enjoy a drink in if the weather is inclement.  At the Dales Country House, we have private gazebos that you can hire for a 2 hour time slot to dine, or enjoy a drink in for a cost of £10.

Guests are welcome to have drinks in our hotel bars but this is only allowed under the government guidelines of 1 or 2 households indoors or 6 individuals outside with distancing measures in place. This will be table service only.
